Strings With Qigong

About Strings with Qigong
If staying vital, flexible and healthy as a musician is the goal, Qigong is the answer! Qigong (pronounced Chee-Gong) is a movement-based practice loosely transliterated as
meaning "energy work". The practice builds postural strength, core strength, movement awareness and coordination.
Qigong draws from nature for models of movement and sound. Tigers, leopards, bears, birds, dragons and butterflies are our teachers.
For musicians the primary instrument is the body. Practicing Qigong prepares us to use the body naturally by heightening kinesthetic awareness and energy pathways, allowing successful realization of musical imagination. Qigong movements help the body heal itself and improve health and longevity by tuning the body’s “strings”.
